In 1996 when Mrs. Washington started WCI, a 100% Minority and Women-Owned Business and she had no idea of the magnitude of “the problem” she was determined to solve.  Federal, State/Local Government Entities had a real problem “connecting” with Procurement-Ready, Prescreened and Qualified Small, Minority, Veteran and Women-Owned Vendors. Before there were small and diverse business databases and small business conferences everywhere, there was Mrs. Washington flying around the Nation connecting prescreened and qualified SMVWOBs with WCI Federal Government Contacts who needed to meet their socio-economic goals.  She created the WCI Contracting NETWORKTM to supply both sides of the Contracting Process.  WCI created a system which segmented the market and started supplying the services and products necessary to prepare and present procurement-ready small, minority, veteran, and/or women-owned business contractors. To increase the pool of diverse contractors and to create more opportunities which is what is necessary in a market where diversity and inclusion is lacking.  

Goals:
Connect and network at the Nona Professional Ladies’ Luncheons to give attendees the opportunity to cultivate relationships with peers while also learning from empowering speakers on topics relative to the needs of women. Topics include health issues that are prevalent in women, success in male-dominated industries, business solutions, leadership topics, personal branding, local community non-profits, female governmental leaders, sales techniques, finance decisions, legal business decisions, PR marketing and more!
